The Joyeux Bordel trio (Bérangère Mastrangelo, Philippe Mathey, Lee Maddeford) is staging a groovy cabaret where they sing joyfully and in several voices about the pleasure of living and loving, as well as about a refusal to submit to straitlaced morality and the off limits imposed by middle-class sexuality. Surprising viewers, making them laugh, and moving them in several ways, including revisited medleys that allow for harmonic boldness and the most unexpected breaks. Poking fun at our difficulties and our addictions to pleasure by making a cocktail of our musical cultures: the Anglo-Saxon tradition and the French chanson… to sing about our funny sometimes lousy lives.
